BROOKFIELD, WI – ProHealth Care invites the public to a free program called The Right Weigh to Lose Weight from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30 at the Brookfield Public Library, 1900 North Calhoun Rd.
Although weight loss strategies line the bookshelves and fill the headlines of magazines, some of the advice is unproven or unbalanced, or both. ProHealth physician Joanne Brooks, M.D. and dietitian Tammy Gallow will focus on no-onsense approaches to weight loss.
The program will help participants learn how to set realistic goals, decipher fad diets, begin and maintain an exercise plan, and what to eat for good health. It will also teach strategies on how to change bad habits, provide tips on making healthy eating a part of daily life and reveal the latest research on nutrition.
Registration is required by calling (262) 928-2745 or at www.prohealthcare.org/classes
