About the Conference

Clients with anger problems differ so widely that no one therapy or educaton model can treat them all effectively. Great differences exist between who have hidden, explosive or chronic anger issues.

Explore treatment strategies for 10 different kinds of anger problems: anger avoidance, passive-aggressive, paranoia, shame-based, deliberate, exitatory, sudden, habitual, moral and resentment. Learn how to devise and implement more effective treatment plans with angry clients by understanding the differences between the styles.

Course Objectives

  • Differentiate between 10 different ways in which people experience and express their anger
  • Utilize an anger questionnaire to help plan treatment priorities within the sphere of anger management
  • Learn to help clients recognize the strengths and weaknesses of each anger style
  • Help clients who utilize one or more styles excessively to become more flexible in their approaches to anger

About the Presenter

Ronald Potter-Efron, MSW, PhD is a clinical psychotherapist with First Things First, LTD, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He is an experienced workshop presenter who is on the faculty of the Rutgers and North Carolina Summer Schools of Alcohol and Drug Studies. Dr. Potter-Efron is a respected author of both professional and popular books including, Shame, Guilt and Alcoholism, Letting Go of Shame, The Secret Message of Shame, and Angry All the Time.

Psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, murse practitioners, counselors, psychotherapists, AODA professionals, and any mental health or health care professionals.

When You Register

Please leave enough time to meet the registration deadline notes. Registrations without payment or credit card will not be processed. If the conference is already filled, you will be notified and given a full refund. Confirmation letters with receipts of payments will be mailed to you upon receipt of payment. You will receive confirmation via e-mail with registration completed on line.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received no later than 10 business days prior to the training date. If you cancel, you may send a substitute or receive a refund less a $35 processing fee for a full-day conference. Cancellations made after the deadline, on the day of the training, after the training has begun or failure to attend without notice of cancellation will result in a charge for the full course fee.
