A Fountain of Youth in Waukesha County?

You bet!

ProHealth Care Senior 75s

Meet the ProHealth Care Senior 75s

Someone once said that youth is wasted on the young, but certainly not in Waukesha County.

Meet the ProHealth Care Senior 75s softball team. To watch them play, you'd swear they're ageless. But in fact, they're all between 74 and 80 years old. And, they also happen to be two-time defending national champions as a 70-year-old team.

Their athletic skills certainly have a lot to do with their success, but their positive attitudes don't hurt, either.

"You're never too old until you're cold!" says Andy Anderson, team member.

Other members of the team joke about the other teams in their league being sponsored by funeral homes - except for theirs, of course. ProHealth Care is honored to sponsor this extraordinary team. You see, there's a team of amazing ProHealth Care physicians behind this team of talented athletes.

ProHealth Care physicians play a supporting role

Most members of the ProHealth Care Senior 75s see and have seen a variety of different ProHealth Care physicians over the years, ranging from internists and cardiologists to emergency medicine physicians, surgeons ... and more.

"We're proud to have played a role in keeping this great group of guys healthy and on the softball field, and are truly honored to be part of their lives," says Dr. Roger Watson, an internal medicine physician at ProHealth Care Medical Associates, who cares for one of the team members.

Recently, team members and physicians came together to film a TV ad for ProHealth Care. The ad features the ProHealth Care Senior 75s together with the team of ProHealth Care physicians who keep them young and healthy. Best of all, the team won the tournament!

First-time TV stars have a ball

"We really appreciate that ProHealth Care sponsored our team and we love the design of our uniforms," says Don Bardonner, team member from Brookfield.

"We can't say thank you enough," says Bardonner. "And starring in a TV commercial was all new to us. It was a long day of softball, 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. - 13 hours. We started shooting footage at noon and the camera crew was wonderful to us throughout the day. But looking back, what most surprised and impressed us most was that the ProHealth Care doctors who participated in the TV ad stayed to watch our game and they were so friendly to us."

Team wins last local tournament of the season

The ProHealth Care Senior 75s clinched the Milwaukee Senior 75 Plus Softball Classic championship title! The tournament was held on Sept. 16 and 17 in Milwaukee. The team played 5 games total during the tournament, scoring an impressive 80 runs in the first 4 games, and winning the championship game 12-11 against a team from the Chicago area. Congratulations to our amazing team for an outstanding performance!
