Would you like to influence the programs and services of your local ProHealth Care Medical Associates clinic?

Have you ever had ideas about ways to make health care more "patient-focused"?

If so, ProHealth Care Medical Associates has a unique opportunity for you to volunteer your time and talents as a Patient Centered Care Advisor.

We are looking for patients who have:

• Enthusiasm for the clinic's mission of excellence in education, patient care and advocacy.
• Ability to share both positive and negative experiences in a constructive way.
• Good listening skills and the ability to communicate and work with others whose backgrounds, experiences and styles may be very different from your own.
• Ability to commit to 2 hours per month for a period of 1 year.

The core concepts of Patient Centered Care are: dignity and respect, information sharing, participation and partnership, and collaboration as defined by the Institute for Patient and Family Centered Care.
