We offer a host of childbirth education classes to help you know what to expect throughout your pregnancy, labor, birth and beyond. Your First Baby

Labor & Birth Step by Step - Four-Week Course

This four-week course (meeting once a week for four weeks) is designed for parents expecting for the first time.  Birth can be unpredictable, but educating yourself is the best way to feel more confident and prepared for birth.  Topics indclude the birth process, comfort techniques for pain management and medical interventions including induction, epidural and cesarean birth. The class should be comleted at least two weeks before your due date.  Attendees will receive a tour of the Birthing Center .  Click here to register.

Labor & Birth Step by Step - Weekend Express

This is an accelerated course designed for parents expecting for the first time who wish to attend a childbirth class, but find it difficult to fit the four-week course into their schedules.  Topics to be discussed include the birth process, comfort techniques for pain management and medical interventions including induction, epidural and cesarean birth.  Also covered are the basics of baby care including bathing, diapering, soothing techniques, care seat safety and more.  The class meets Friday evening and all day Saturday, and includes a tour of the Birthing Center, all meals and snacks.  Click here to register.

Breastfeed with Confidence

This is a one-session class focusing on the basics of breastfeeding, what to expect the first few weeks, pumping, returning to work and tips for success.  Dads are encouraged and welcome to attend.  Click here to register.

Another Baby

Labor and Birth Step by Step - Refresher Course

Even though this isn't your first pregnancy, it may have been awhile since your last child was born or you'd like to try some new techniques this time around. This is a one-session class focusing on comfort techniques to manage labor pain and medical interventions to know about just in case. The hands on practice time is designed for you and your support person and reviews breathing, relaxation, massage techniques, birth ball, comfort positions and more.  Register today.

Fee: $25 per family

Bringing Home Another Baby

This special class for parents focuses on tips for preparing your child/children for the arrival of their new baby brother or sister and an update on baby care.  Register today.

Fee: $15 per couple

Big Brother & Sister Class

This two-hour class is especially for siblings ages 4 to 8 (children must be accompanied by an adult).  This is a fun time for older siblings to learn about what to expect before and after the new baby arrives by participating in activities all designed to help them welcome their new baby brother or sister.  Children are encouraged to bring a doll or stuffed animal and a picture of themselves as a baby to class.  A family tour is included.  Register today.

Fee: $6 per child

Tot Tour

A special tour for future big brothers and big sisters age 3 and younger and their parents.   Families will receive a "kid's eye" view of the Birthing Center and a special gift to take home. Register today.

Baby Care 101 for Grandparents 

A refresher course for grandparents-to-be on current birthing and infant care trends. What's new since your children were born? Topics to be discussed include: role of grandparents, first weeks at home with an infant, signs and symptoms of illness (when to call the doctor), crying, feeding, and safety. Marvelous Multiples

Topics covered in this three-session class include nutrition, weight gain, discomforts, limitations, signs of pre-term labor, labor delivery and life at home with multiple newborns.  Register today!
