Freestanding ProHealth Care Sleep Center Open in Delafield

Due to a steady growth in patient demand for sleep studies, ProHealth Care opened a state-of-the-art Sleep Center located near Hwys. 94 and 83 at 2301 Sun Valley Drive, Delafield in 2009. The new location in the 3rd floor of the Purity Building replaced the two existing Centers that served patients at Waukesha and Oconomowoc Memorial Hospitals. Private Room

All aspects of the Sleep Center are designed with the patient in mind. It features eight private rooms with relaxed, homelike interior décor, and comfortable beds and furniture. Each room has it's own private bathroom with shower.  The facility offers more beds than the two hospital locations combined. The new sleep center has been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), the gold standard for sleep disorder services.

Patients at the new Sleep Center will receive comprehensive services to diagnose and treat a wide range of disorders, such as: obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, Myoclonus/Restless Leg Syndrome, sleepwalking, REM behavior disorder and night terrors. Services and treatment options include sleep studies, CPAP titration, multiple sleep latency test and maintenance of wakefulness test.

Studies show that 40 million adults suffer from a sleep disorder and 10 million seek medical help each year: 4 percent of U.S. men and 2 percent of U.S. women. But only 20 percent of those with sleep apnea receive appropriate treatment.

ProHealth Care's Sleep Center will be open 7 days a week, so second- and third-shift workers may receive services to fit their schedules. For more information, call (262) 928-4043.
